Pierre Blime has a career of 13 years in economic development, strategy and business development. Trained at Boston University’s Center for Economic Development by Emeritus Professors John Harris and Gustav Papanek, Mr. Blime started his career in academic research with positions as a Research Associate at Harvard University’s Belfer Center for Science and international Affairs (USA) and at the Department of Economics of INSEAD (France). After a few years spent in the military, Mr. Blime worked as a strategy and business development advisor for companies such as Cambridge Information Systems (USA), Ericsson (Sweden), Sun Microsystems (USA), IBM (USA), Pharmacia (Sweden & USA), Groupe Ales (France), PW Partners (Estonia), Consumetric (Estonia) and Ariad Nordic Consulting (Sweden). Mr. Blime has also been a Senior Officer with organizations such as UNEP and UNDP and has been an advisor to European Union programmes, World Bank projects and to the development agencies of regional governments in Europe. Mr. Blime is the author and co-author of various professional publications on economic development, the environment, tourism and industrial policy.
